Carol S. Jacobs Fisher Memorial Fund - to provide scholarships to our worthy Jewish youth, ages 10-20, to attend Jewish affiliated overnight camps, summer travel programs and programs for study or travel in Israel.
Sam Gershon Torah Fund - to provide care and restoration of our synagogue's Torah scrolls.
Hazak Fund - to provide programming and information for our seniors.
Holocaust Fund - to provide our synagogue with speakers, films and programs to further our education concerning the Holocaust.
Marcia Kent Book Fund- to purchase Siddurim, and other holy books.
Kitchen Fund - to upgrade and repair the kitchen.
P.T.O. - to provide for programs and gifts sponsored by our PTO.
Ben Pittel Youth Scholarship Fund - to defray costs for our youth to attend Jewish camps, conventions and other youth activities.
Rabbi's Discretionary Fund - a fund used by the Rabbi to donate to worthy charities or to individuals who have fallen upon hard times.
Religious School Fund - to provide programs, equipment and other needs of the Religious School.
Shomrei Torah General Operating Fund- to be used for the operation fo the synagogue.
Frank Tobin Mitzvah Fund- to be used when the synagogue is engaged in acts of "Gemilut Hesed,"acts of loving-kindness.
Yahrzeit Fund - to honor the memory of loved ones.
Youth - to be used for operation of Youth groups.
A minimum donation of $10.00 per card is required for these funds.
Other Types of Donations
Tree of Life - Leaves are placed on the beautiful "Tree of Life " in our lobby for a donation of $200.00 in honor of a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, wedding, anniversary, graduation, retirement or any other occasion. To celebrate in a very special way, a "Rock" beneath the Tree may be inscribed for a donation of $1800.00.
Memorial Plaque- For a donation of $300.00, these plaques are placed in the sanctuary in memory of a loved one and will be lit each year during the week of that person's yahrzeit, as well as during each yizkor service. A card will also be sent each year to remind you of the yahrzeit date. Columns may also be donated.
Chumashim– A Chumash (Pentateuch & Haftarah) may be donated in honor of a special occasion or in memory of a loved one for a donation of $72.00.
High Holiday Machzor – A High Holiday Machzor may be donated in honor of a special occasion or in memory of a loved one for a donation of $54.00.
President’s Council – The minimum donation is $1,200.00 per year. Monies raised are specifically earmarked for synagogue operations. Donors will be acknowledge on a framed artistically designed certificate, as currently displayed in our social hall.

Sponsor an Oneg Shabbat- Sponsor a congregational Oneg Shabbat on Friday night after services or a Kiddush on Saturday morning after services. No special occasion is needed. However, this is an especially meaningful way to commemorate a milestone in your life (anniversary, special birthday, graduatihttps://www.shomreitorahwcc.org/payment.phpon or in memory of a loved one) and share your simcha with the synagogue family. High Holy Day Campaign – Our High Holiday Fundraising.
Ad Journal – Our Ad Journal is our biggest fundraiser and is often the determining factor in our budget.
TD Affinity Membership Program - Help support our fundraising efforts by joining TD Bank’s Affinity Membership Program. Your participation earns us an annual donation based upon the number of members enrolled.
A donation to many of these funds can be made by going to our donations page.

Golden Cards – a fold-over card that may be sent for any occasion: a thank you, memoriam, get well, wedding, anniversary, birth, etc. Minimum donation is $3.50 per card.
Sisterhood Certificates – in the form of a card, sent to acknowledge that a donation has been made by you to Sisterhood in honor, memory, thank you, anniversary or any other occasion. Minimum donation is $5.00.
Sisterhood Gift Fund – used solely for a gift to the synagogue. A card will be sent to the person you are acknowledging. Minimum donation is $10.00.
Gift Cards (Scrip) - Sisterhood has Gift Cards available over 150 major retailers. Shomrei Torah receives a percentage of the purchase price — at no additional cost to you! Gift Cards may be purchased from the Synagogue office.
